The Chiefs sign Free Agent FB Ryan D’Imperio

D’Imperio is probably a training camp signing to get some competition at FB but he can also be a good Special Teams pick up as well. The thing is D’Imperio also played linebacker at Rutgers. Don’t the Chiefs need another Linebacker? Hummmm. Watch the video below.

From the Chiefs’ Press Release:

D’Imperio (6-3, 240) has played in 12 games (one start) in two NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings (2010-11). After spending the 2010 season on the club’s practice squad, D’Imperio was promoted to the active roster in October of 2011, recording two catches for seven yards. He was released by the Vikings before the 2012 season.

The Sewell, N.J., native originally entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft choice (237thoverall) of the Vikings in the 2010 NFL Draft. D’Imperio played linebacker at Rutgers, recording 185 tackles, 7.0 sacks (-55.0 yards), two interceptions, six passes defensed, one forced fumble and three fumble recoveries. He prepped at Washington Township High School in Sewell, N.J.

Watch Ryan D’Imperio lay someone out.
